Welcome back to our website and again, I’m Sheena Santos.
I’m a home-based mom and Virtual assistant for many, many years and yeah, you heard it right! In today’s video, we’re going to talk about everything about Fiverr. There are a lot of subscribers requesting for this topic about Fiverr so I can walk you through I will also teach you how to create a Fiverr gig.
As I’ve said, you need to stay tuned to this article so that you can start as soon as possible and hopefully, you can receive orders and gigs just like what happened to me when I started joining Fiverr.
I shared it on one of my previous article which is Email marketing, and that is where it all started for me.
So, I’m going to share my experience with you so I can walk you through properly.
But before we start on Fiverr, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the comments, suggestions and also to those who appreciate our article tutorials.
This is so heart-warming and I don’t know what else to say.
I feel motivated to create and share more contents with all of you. So, if you have other requests, make sure to comment at the bottom of the article , and that we can produce more content which you are interested in. With that,
I can make more articles according to your needs, and so that I can create article that are useful not only to me but to all of you as well. Hello everyone! This is my son.
They just finished celebrating “Linggo ng Wika” in their school yesterday, and I also posted their school event on Facebook. Okay. So back to our topic.
There are updates on my Fiverr account. Right after our first gig on Email marketing, I received a follow-up gig.
I had my second order. And that was about Email marketing automation.
When we say “Gig“, it’s equivalent to Service. In Fiverr, they use the term GIG for Services.
For clients, they use the term BUYERS. And for us, FREELANCERS, they address us as SELLERS.
We as sellers, we advertise our services or gigs that BUYERS (clients) purchase. In Fiverr, you may post your gigs just like I do, or you may also search for available gigs that Buyers (or clients) posted.
What I did was, I created a gig about Email marketing automation, and if you want to learn more about it, make sure to watch the video.
I am going to put a link on the description box so you can gain more about it.
As I would always say to all our friends, please share it with others so that we are also helping them. That is the only favor I ask of you.
And of course, to like and subscribe to my channel so that you are also helping me. Anyway, I received a follow-up order, and the amount being offered to me was $20.
The task is to organize a form that will look the same as with the buyer’s website.
If not exactly what it looks like, at least combine it and so that is what I did.
The client is happy with my work, and this is the final output: If you can see it.
The image is small.
I also invented a way in which I would like to share it on my succeeding videos.
If you are interested to learn about WordPress, and Active Campaign, so please put a comment about it. Back to my client.
He is satisfied and aside from the $20 he offered me, he also gave me a tip for $10.
So my total income was $30, and since Fiverr deducted a percentage from my earnings which is $6, so, minus $4 from the job order and minus $2 from the tip. But it’s all good.
At least I am earning money from some of my Gigs. Going back to our topic.
Again for beginners, let’s talk about Beginners with skills but have no online experience so who are they? Most people who sent me messages from Facebook and my comments section here, and other personal messages, they would ask for advising and guide on how to search for jobs since they don’t have online work experience yet.
They are studying video tutorials, and some of them are paying a fee to learn new skills like web research, data entry, SEO, transcription… There are a lot of you guys who have the skills and some of you already have minimal skills but still doesn’t know where to apply and some already joined Upwork.
Most people are having difficulties applying through Upwork, they get rejected most of the time.
Some applicants got approved but have limited number of connects so when they apply for a new job, there are no connects available and are still waiting for a response and they don’t get many responses from clients.
I understand that most of you have issues and that is why I tried joining Fiverr and I’m going to share with you how to create an account or gig later.
For creating an account, I did not include it on this video because it will take too long But to give you an idea, you will fill out the information as if you are creating your resume on Fiverr.
You will input your description, skills, email address, and information about yourself.
So this is the list of jobs for beginners with skills: If you are interested in Social media, or Design, you can browse it one by one.
There’s also Digital marketing, or if you are good at SEO. For me, I started my gig in Email marketing because that’s what I wanted to do.
You can choose from the list of jobs posted, and since you don’t have a gig yet, I would suggest taking a research just like what I did before I started creating my gig, I researched by checking out other freelancers, I observed and got samples from their profiles.
For example, Email marketing I’m going to show you some examples of profiles with Email marketing so that I could get an idea on what I should put on my profile if I create my gig.
So to make things clear, I only chose this for reference.
I did not copy everything from top to bottom on freelancer’s page, even the cover image because it’s like stealing the freelancer’s profile.
I only chose one or two profiles that are nearly related to the gig that I’m creating which is Email marketing.
So, if for example, you chose Transcription, find everything related to your niche by typing on top of the page, type Transcription or Transcriptionist This is a new gig.
There are no reviews yet or anything.
You can get ideas from experienced freelancers.
So this means that there’s hope for everyone interested to apply for an online job.
Either you’re a newbie or experienced worker, with or without experience, everyone is qualified to work in Fiverr and there are no age limits.
It’s up to you on how you build yourself.
Make sure you are committed to what you mentioned in your profile about yourself.
Whatever services you offer, make sure you can do it for clients. Now, let’s discuss Fiverr for beginners without skills.
Some people offer their different qualities aside from skills and what are those? I’m talking about In here, you have to be creative and versatile.
So even if you don’t have the skills you are still qualified for the job.
For example, everything on the screen is good.
But I’m not going to check everything on the screen.
But let’s take a look at this: You’re going to offer your services by greeting someone.
You’re going to put a specific greeting, put it on the image, then send it to the client. We call that “Message on”.
Everything about this type of gig will also work for you.
If you are interested to work online even without the skills, there’s always an opportunity for everyone.
You may also check on the Lifestyle section, like greeting cards and videos.
You can see offers like, “I will say anything you want in a video”, as you can see, the seller already has 15 orders.
Let’s take a look at this seller’s samples.
See that? For that simple greeting, you can earn $5! There are a lot of offers.
Let’s go back to Greeting cards and videos.
Voice-over is also a good offer.
It will always depend on how you can be versatile with your gigs. This one’s a greeting by Donald Trump. Sellers can make gigs based on their creativity.
So, as I was saying, there’s always a window of opportunity for everyone here at Fiverr.
Always persevere and be versatile on your goals.
Okay? So if you are interested, we’ll start on how to create a gig.
How do we start? I just began creating a draft and I challenged myself on how to do it. Did you remember about a tutorial we did on Canva? I use Canva most of the time for personal purposes like my YouTube thumbnails, simple graphics creations, and to some of my clients who uses Canva for images on their website.
But it’s not my strength per se, I have knowledge about it that is why I shared it with you but I’m not confident about it.
That is why I challenged myself by creating a gig as a graphic artist even if I don’t have a certification.
I wanted to see if there is something for me even if it’s the only skill or experience that I have.
So I am going to join the beginners in Graphics design.
I started making the draft last night, and I wanted to wait for everyone before I proceed.
So this is the first step in creating a gig, and I’m going to edit a few things. Let’s do this all together.
I started taking step one in advance so I can show you how to make it.
So from here, the words “I will” is already placed in the title you just need to add your gig along with it. I am going to advertise Canva by putting it into the title.
If you’re looking for services or gigs that you wanted to offer or promote, just type it in Search. For example, Canva, and as you can see, there are a lot of sellers who are promoting the same gig.
That is why I’m telling you, you can also use it as your skill.
In this area, you’re going to think of a good title and as I’ve mentioned, you can get ideas on titles from other freelancers, just don’t get their exact details, okay? You have to be innovative in promoting your gig.
If for example, you’re also going to form Graphics design, choose Graphics design in the category.
For me, I chose Social media design as my sub-category since I handle most about Social media like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc., I’m going to use images by following everything I’ve mentioned earlier.
So, if you have any other ideas like Data entry or Web research since there are also a lot of offers about it, or Transcription, of course, you have to choose a different category and sub-category for that. But this is for Graphic design.
I’m going to make Cover/Header, Background. Also, make sure you use appropriate keywords for your Gig title. Do keyword research and it’s important. The keywords that I’m going to use here is Graphics design.
Since Fiverr is a system, it will not check everything manually but instead, it will be based on SEO for keywords.
Let’s say, you’re searching on Google, “how to wash clothes the right way?” We used keywords on how to search for the right words that you are going to put on the title.
For example, you searched for Canva tutorial on YouTube, Canva Tutorial is the keyword.
I hope you get the idea. So, I chose Graphics design and I’m going to put it on the description as well so that Fiverr will focus more on the words Graphic design on my gig so that it will also appear on related searches for buyers who are seeking services or gigs about Graphics design. Remember that.
So, Search tags are also keywords I also put Canva, Graphics design so I have 2 keywords plus Canva designs so that I can also be included on the list of services if buyers are looking for Canva designs.
However, you may be competing with other freelancers who use the same keywords, but at least there’s hope that they would see my profile.
There are up to 5 Search tags.
then, click Save and continue. For the Scope and Pricing, you may observe that some sellers only have 1 package for their gig like a basic package.
But for me, it’s better if you also have the Standard and Premium package.
I offer that as well. For Basic package, I use the title Social media design using Canva.
Description: Create graphics for social media post Basic designs will provide the buyer with 2 to 3 different samples. So, it’s up to you on what you prefer to put in your description. You may also refer to others.
For delivery time, my basic package includes 3 days. Sometimes I send the files after a day and they were pleased to see how brief it was finished.
You may also add extra gigs, the starting amount is $5. If you prefer to offer extra services like finishing the task briefly in 1 day, you may charge $10.
That is for extra services.
For Standard, the pricing is different.
I finished the task within 5 days but other sellers can submit the task in 2 days it depends on the gig that you’re going to make, plus you may charge an extra fee if you prefer it or not.
For the Premium package, the cost is a bit high compared to the Basic and Standard package.
Some tasks charge from $70 up to $200, but again, it depends on the experience and skills and the gig that you offer.
So for starters, we can use the Basic package. And for this, I make up to 3 revisions. Some sellers chose Unlimited revisions especially if they are just starting for the gig.
They use that as a strategy to attract more buyers since they offer unlimited modifications with their gigs. If you’re a newbie, that’s okay.
I sometimes offer unlimited revisions but I always make it a point to exert my best efforts at the start of the job order to avoid modifications and to satisfy the clients.
It feels so good to have the confidence and impress the client by delivering the task in just one or two revisions. That’s just my idea.
It still depends on you though. So, save and continue. I hope you can follow through. If not, please comment at the bottom of the page. Next, briefly describe your gig.
I already made a draft. What I’m going to do is to just copy and paste it.
This is made by me, and not taken by other sellers.
This is the draft. I arranged everything last night.
This was also inspired by other ideas from other gigs.
Of course, I made this from my point of view. Let’s take a look at other gigs.
Look at this. There are different descriptions based on your gigs.
You can highlight the first statement of your gig for more emphasis. Highlight then choose a color.
For example, yellow. Clients or buyers can easily notice your gig if you highlight your description. I also included the keyword I use which is Graphics design.
You can use your keywords of up to 3x in the description for each of your gigs. This is based on other tutorials that I watched on YouTube.
But I am going to try if they now allow the use of keywords of more than 3x.
Because I use it then I rephrase my sentences in my description. The keywords that I previously used such as Canva, or design.
You can do typographical emphasis with your description by using Bold texts to attract more clients.
Like this one.
I used Bold texts plus I also highlighted it. In Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), you can input information that may address the clients about a common concern, questions or objections so that if they need to inquire about something about your gig, they can easily check it out on this page and to avoid going back and forth for additional queries. Queries like asking for a particular website to find a piece of information, etc., or questions with Email marketing like time intervals with emails? It can help save time when there is a FAQ attached to your gig. What is your company’s website? Logo? branding? Tagline? These are possible information that I may need.
For example, “ABC Company”.
You have to make a sample FAQs. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) will help you a lot in avoiding repeating conversations with clients.
And of course, time is really important.
Once the order pushed through the timer will also start.
In here, you may observe that the word “design” was not allowed to be used anymore, because the keyword “design” was used several times.
I will use Canva to create a beautiful creation” to showcase your website”.
Let’s see if it works. No! it didn’t push through! Let’s change the keyword ‘design’ for creation in some of the sentences.
Let’s try by clicking save and continue.
Thank goodness it was approved! Okay. So, I made some requirements that I think I will be needing from the client. For example, logos, branding, color, images, styles, etc.
to avoid revisions As I’ve said, my goal is to make you happy the first time you see the results.
I wanted to make sure the client is pleased with the way I work. There’s one more thing:
In Canva, since you can share the files, we can send the source file if they can provide an email address or a Canva account, which I also offered once payment has been made.
So, let’s add the requirements.
That’s it! Afterward in your gallery, you will need to upload at least 3 images and as you can see with the samples I presented you, they have front images.
This is one, but it should be up to three.
The first image you are going to upload will serve as your cover image. Just like in YouTube thumbnails, the image has to be inviting to attract more clients to take your gig.
I have prepared a sample using our Canva tutorial as a guide, First I am going to upload my cover image, then the succeeding images are sample covers.
Once you have completed order from your gig, the succeeding gigs will automatically be downloaded by Fiverr itself, including reviews from your clients.
This is the other sample cover, then I’m going to add another one for a total of three.
So, all of these is by Canva, this one’s taken from Canva and I didn’t edit anything here. I just took a template just like that.
You can also input a video just like in Message on, or PDF.
You can upload up to three images or videos. This one is thumbnails though.
That’s it! It’s pretty simple, I just prepared the description and get some ideas to input on the coverage of this video.
Okay? Now, I have a bonus for all of you! I wanted to make sure you’re all well-prepared once you start your gig here on Fiverr, and the bonus that I’m talking about can be added to our Canva tutorial. Remember the part that we removed a background?
Because there may be times that we need to scroll down images using the eraser tool just to remove something from it,
I just found out recently that there is an easy way on how to remove the background, and you can also offer that as a gig here on Fiverr.
There are gigs of the same kind let’s try it on Search, Remove background You can earn money with this gig through Fiverr.
It’s like the image on the screen.
All you need to do is go to the website www.remove.bg You don’t need to create an account or even make a payment for this because it is free of charge The only thing you need to do is to select the photo that you prefer or just the URL if there’s a website link from whatever source you found it for example Google choose Select photo since that is the option that I have which is available then choose from the sample photos.
Upload the image and then Pak! as you can see, I didn’t do anything on this image.
I just uploaded an image then the background was already been removed. So if you can check on other samples let’s say l will remove the background from an image.
Some sellers offer 15-25 images in just one hour, anything is possible especially if you use something as easy as the one I’m showing you.
You can already earn money from doing this.
That’s it! That’s another tip for all of you I hope it can help you when you start doing online jobs and earn money on Fiverr.
